I don't know about 'l33test' or anything of that ilk, but if you are looking for a guild tag that commands respect on the PvE side, you can't go wrong with SMS (goes for the entire alliance and BTW I'm in no way affiliated with them). Undoubtedly there are others as people will soon tell you

Really depends, If you like Hard Mode then you'll find a hard mode focused guild better, deep focused etc.

However names that I respect are SMS, & SNOW, those ones I recognise. ZoS is big, and known but I dont respect, or like them

Well... tbh i doubt any of the well known guilds out there (Such as the ones mentioned before) would like to be known as 1337 considering how long they have been playing and the members i have come across they're not ones for an ego or for crappy txt spk :P

If you need a good guild the best way is to leave the one your are in now and PUG it for a while, you can meet all sorts by teaming with random strangers and every once in a while you might meet someone whose interests match yours!

Alternatively check out the guild section of this forum, a lot of guilds search for members there :P

This depends too much on what you consider 'leet'.
Focussed guilds are 'better' most of the time.

My old guild played in the shadow of SNOW most of the time as alliance member.
I brought my new guild, which is a split of my old guild, back with them, so I do think they are good enough to get things done.
I won't say they are the 'leetest' PvE guild since I can't see them apart from the total alliance and the number of players is too big to have only the best.

I know my old guild is still active and 'stealing' some of my best members (their close friends) and I do think they are close to the top of what can be achieved in Hard Mode PvE.
If you know me well enough you know who they are.

I've seen several good guilds and probably played with members from most of those guilds.
Including SNOW, EHM, TAM, MYST, GoE, DVDF and several others.

The old Xen of Heros guild [XoH] is the best in my mind. Most of their members have 25+ max titles, and can HH all the missions in HM with relative ease.
Their elite area clearing times are as follows:
All DoA ~ 2hours
the deep and Urgoz HW ~ 45min-1hour each
UW ~ 1.5hours UW HM ~ 1hr 45min - 2hour
FoW ~ 1.5hours UW HM ~ 1hr 45min - 2hour

Most of the members now are in the sinister vanguard guild within [LaZy]

Hehe. Yeah, but I do like [TAM] (only because I was a member of the original TAM alliance with Silly Warrior before it became the TAM full of clone guilds).

I wasn't going to read all posts but I don't think anyone said a big hard mode focused guild out there. Liars Cheats and Thieves or any of there sister guilds are big into Hard Mode. Personally I have never been in there. However from guru and people in game I have heard quite a bit about them.

You should also take into consideration where the guild is based. I'm not sure where you live, but you need to join a guild that plays at (roughly) the same time as you!

Seriously, there are no "best" PvE guilds. There are guilds that are active, guilds that have certain wealthy or insightful members, and guilds that tackle the elite areas often...but because PvE isn't competitive, most established PvE guilds are just as good as the next one.

As it's been said, the key is to find an active PvE guild that is in your timezone.

PvP guilds, on the other hand, are competitive and, as a result, can matter which ones you join.

SMS is pretty well known about these parts.

DVDF, LoD, TAM, SNOW, LaZy come to mind as other well known guilds (although LaZy is more of a collection of guilds-so it'd be hard to pick out jsut one lol). [FooL] (I think that's the tag) also floats around from time to time.

EDIT: OMG! I totally forgot about GoE! Yeah you guys are cool

OR you can just start sleeping even later than usual?
[TAM] is mainly based in America and since I'm in England, boom, I stay up late!
